“Our decision to move into the large-format market with the 57˝ Rapida 145 press will help to separate Marshall & Bruce from the highly-competitive general commercial printing industry and bring value-added services to our existing customer base.” That’s a quote from M&B president Chip Smith in a recent article in Printing Impressions.
The new addition really rounds out M&B’s capabilities. The new press—installed in late summer 2013—joins an existing 20˝ KBA Genius 52 press and a seven-color, 41˝ KBA Rapida 105 press. The new Rapida 145 will allow us to more efficiently print high-end point-of-purchase and packaging on a variety of substrates, while the Genius can focus on short-run jobs and our KBA Rapida 105 press can be dedicated to high-end commercial work. It’s a win, win, win for M&B customers!

The recent addition of a new Genius 52 UV offset press perfectly complements M&B’s existing presses. Small in comparison to the massive KBA Rapida 105, the Genius allows us to keep smaller digital jobs in house and provides a cost effective way to print shorter-run projects on a variety of substrates – from paper and board to plastics, PVC, styrene and more.
